Kid Acne at Graffwerk

I was pretty excited to get along to Graffwerk on Frog Island this evening. The private view of their new exhibition was taken place. It is a solo show by the internationally acclaimed Street Artist, Kid Acne. Thanks to my friends at Pomelo & Rocket for the invitation as well as providing the delicious (vegan-friendly) catering!

Born in Malawi, and now living in Sheffield, Kid Acne has worked on producing large scale murals around the world. I particular enjoyed the film that was projected into the gallery showing him hard at work. His bold, colloquial prints are bright and punchy. There were at least three that I wanted to buy to bring home right away. Not least ‘This seems legit’, which could well be a tagline for my life. Well, everyone’s life really.

Blame The Parents, Kid Acne’s show, is on at Graffwerk until 26th March. Don’t miss the chance to pop down and see it. Remember to take advantage of the delicious home cooked food and cake at Pomelo & Rocket while you are there.
