Eat, Drink and Be Merry I
It’s that time of year when we are all stocking up on Christmas treats. And of course in my house that means foodie treats. I’ve got so many great things to share with you that I’ve tried recently that I thought I’d do a few Eat, Drink and Be Merry posts!
Vegan Fudge?

Now I love a mince pie. In years gone by, I thought I didn’t like them. So I missed out on years of deliciously flakey pastry. Juicy, boozy, spicy fruit. Now I don’t pass up any mince pie related treats. I got very excited about a mince pie flavoured mocktail a couple of weeks ago that really hit the spot. So I was mightily intrigued by Buttermilk‘s Festive Fudge.

The Padstow artisan confectioners sent me a box of their mince pie fudge. I just could not imagine how a dairy free fudge would work in reality. However, it is really tasty! While of course the creamy note is absent, I would say the texture is no different to traditional fudge.

The mince pie flavour is apparent and delicious, with that sweet spice hit. For good measure there are a few raisins thrown in that add texture and flavour. There are 8 cubes of fudge in a 100g box and it will set you back £2.99. A nice little festive stocking filler that will suit vegans and non-vegans alike in my opinion.
I was sent a box of fudge for free to taste for the purposes of review, and my review is an honest reflection of my experience of the product.
