Faltering steps in photography!
I got a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H400 for Christmas from The Boy, having spent several years now complaining about the quality of photography I can take for the blog just using my rubbish Galaxy Tab camera! So now I’m having a play around and trying to learn how to get the best from it. Naturally, as I haven’t really had anywhere to go in the last few days, this has led to a lot of cat photos! However, this morning I also found a beautiful skeleton leaf that had fallen from one of my grape vines, so that seemed like a perfect subject for trying out some macro photography and then messing about with editing.
What do you reckon to my efforts so far? What are your top tips for taking an excellent photo? The more help I get the better!!

Thanks Steph – I took it out for the first time yesterday so just getting everything edited down then will have a new post to put up! I could definitely do with a masterclass for novices lol
Lucky you getting a new camera. Some good shots, the first of the vine leaf is great. I've had mine for a few months now and still trying to get to grips with it. If you hear of any local photography course (very beginners!!!) please let me know
Steph
