Walk the Leicester Tapas Trail

The Leicester Tapas Trail has arrived! I’ve teamed up with a bunch of Leicester’s finest independent bars and created something very special for you all to enjoy. For just £3.00 you can enjoy a drink and a dish. Something to drink, something to nibble, something new to try – one flat price. You can find out more about the venues involved and their service times by clicking here.

Yesterday was the first day of the Trail going live, so we popped along to see our friends at Bossa Cafe Bar where the wonderful Roxy’s Kitchen is supplying the food. Our first try of a real live Tapas Trail experience was truly wonderful. You can choose from a cider, a lager or a soft drink to wet your whistle. We opted for a half pint of the crisp premium lager, West 4, which had a great taste with a slight sweetness. Most refreshing.

I opted to team my lager with the the American smokey potato skins. Full of blue cheesy goodness and topped with a delicious piece of bacon and soft pea shoots, this dish would make an excellent lunch time meal all on its own.

The Boy couldn’t resist the beef sliders. Two homemade patties were nestled in their own perfect miniature bun, with a juicy slice of tomato and crisp lettuce. They were accompanied by pickles, caramelised onion and a tangy beetroot relish. A perfect match to the lager and another deeply satisfying dish.

Feel like a giant with tiny burgers

And the best thing? If you hit Bossa and register with the Zapper app for the first time you can get £3 off your first bill – making your first stop on the Tapas Trail absolutely free! So there’s absolutely no excuse, get down there, try Roxy’s delicious food, soak in the atmosphere and pretend that summer isn’t on its way out.

Keep your eyes peeled for more stops on the Tapas Trail coming soon!
